If you are interested in applying for this research grant, please read the document above very carefully before submitting your application.  This document includes a description of the research grant, requirements, application procedure and the actual application.

These grants provides funding for research that will advance the specialized practice of emergency nursing.  These grants are broadly defined as scientific investigations designed to furnish new knowledge relating to emergency nursing care.  Such investigations may focus on basic science research, preventative care, or research in emergency nursing teaching, education, management, and leadership.

In 2010, the ENA Foundation has combined resources with two of ENA’s Strategic Sponsor to offer these industry-supported research grants.  We sincerely thank them for their support.

ENA Foundation/Sigma Theta Tau International Research Grant

The ENA Foundation and Sigma Theta Tau International, Inc (STTI) have combined resources to offer this annual $6,000 research grant.  The ENA Foundation/STTI research grant provides funding for research that will advance the specialized practice of emergency nursing.  All relevant research topics will be considered.  Priority will be given to research studies relating to the ENA/ENA Foundation research initiatives.

The deadline for 2010 applications was March 1, 2010.  Applications are currently under review and will be announced after August 1, 2010.  Applications for the 2011 research grant will be available after the 2010 grant has been awarded.

The Emergency Medical Foundation (EMF) and the ENA Foundation have combined resources to offer this $50,000 research grant.  Deadline for submission has passed for 2010.  If you are interested in applying for this grant in 2011, please visit www.emfoundation.org.
