Academic Scholarship Opportunities
Over the past 20 years, the ENA Foundation has awarded over $1.5 million dollars in support of its mission to provide educational scholarships and research grants in the discipline of emergency nurses. These scholarships and grants are made possible due to the generous support from individuals, ENA members, state councils, local chapters, industry and friends of emergency nursing. To view the list of 2012 academic scholarships available, please click here.
ENA Foundation academic scholarships offered are intended for licensed nurses who are current members of the Emergency Nurses Association. There are a minimum number of scholarships offered for non-RN applicants with specific eligibility requirements. Please take a moment to read the eligibility requirements and helpful hints for all ENA Foundation scholarships before proceeding.
Applications are now available.

2012 Doctoral Application
The application deadline for all academic scholarships is June 1, 2012.
Please do not call the office for information about the scholarship review. If you are selected, the ENA Foundation staff will contact you directly. Those who are not selected will be notified by mail. To view the previous year recipients, click here.
2012 Continuing Educational Scholarships
Continuing education scholarships meet member needs for short-term, focused education. Frequently the nurse applicants do not receive funds from their hospitals to support their participation in ENA educational programs. Thanks to generous donations to the ENA Foundation, we have the opportunity to award the following continuing education awards.
Leadership Tapestry Scholarships
Created in 2008 by Cindy Lefton in honor of Denise King, the ENA Foundation is offering 10 scholarships to attend the 2012 ENA Leadership Conference in New Orleans, LA February 22-26. These scholarships are intended to cover conference registration fees, travel and hotel accommodations and minimal expenses. Scholarship recipients are required to submit expense receipts for registration fee, airfare, land transportation, hotel and meals.
