2010 Academic Scholarship Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in the ENA Foundation Scholarships.  The ENA Foundation has already completed the award cycle for this year.  The annual application deadline is June 1.    New scholarship opportunities and applications will be posted on the ENA website after January 15, 2011.

ENA Foundation academic scholarships offered are intended for licensed nurses (RN, LPN, LVN) pursuing their undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degrees.  All applicants must be a member of the Emergency Nurses Association for a minimum of 12 months to be eligible.  There are a minimum number of scholarships offered for non-RN applicants who are considered Rescue workers, EMT’s or individuals who work in the emergency department.

Eligibility requirements for ALL scholarships:

  • A minimum of a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required for consideration.
  • Applicants must be attending a NLN, CCNE or AACN accredited school and must provide verification of the schools current accreditation.
  • Applicants must be an ENA member for a minimum of twelve (12) months immediately prior to applying.  Non-RN category applicants are not required to be an ENA member but a letter of reference from a current ENA member is required.
  • Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply under the same category.  However, qualified previous recipients may apply for the next category.
  • ENA members having served in the immediate past three years on the ENA Board of Directors, ENA Foundation Board of Trustees, or ENA Foundation Scholarship Review Team are ineligible to apply.

These scholarships are available thank to the generous support received from individuals, state councils, local chapters, industry and friends of emergency nursing.  The ENA Foundation is pleased to list the list the previous year’s scholarship recipients.

2010 Continuing Educational Scholarships

Continuing education scholarships meet member needs for short-term, focused education. Frequently the nurse applicants do not receive funds from their hospitals to support their participation in ENA educational programs. Thanks to generous donations to the ENA Foundation, we have the opportunity to award the following continuing education awards.

Annual Conference Scholarships

ENA’s Exhibitor Advisory Council is offering 15 scholarships to attend the 2010 ENA Annual Conference in San Antonio. These scholarships, valued at $750 each, are intended to ease the overall conference costs and travel expenses for ENA members who otherwise would be unable to attend. Applications are due July 1, 2010.
